A number of businesses are selling expired goods to unsuspecting customers in Sowa Town posing to them health hazards. The revelation was made by the Mayor of Sowa Town George Maphane during a Sowa Town Full Council meeting last week. He said during their routine inspections they identified retailers who were selling expired goods and they were fined for doing that.

A Botswana Premier League Disciplinary ruling that found Mochudi Centre Chiefs guilty on two counts of misconduct is likely to compound problems at the troubled Kgatleng outfit.

Chiefs, which is already in the relegation quagmire and in serious financial troubles was charged P10 000 and also forfeited three points and two goals.

In a country now dominated by western culture and games, Botswana Traditional Sport and Games Confederation (BTSGC) has taken a conscious decision to resuscitate the country’s indigenous games.

According to Kenneth Middleton, President of BTSGC, the move comes as local traditional games are facing a threat of extinction.
