Tsimako promotes his first batch of police officers

Following the recent retirement of the Commissioner of the Botswana Police Service, Edwin Batshu, the incoming Commissioner of Police, Thebeyame Tsimako, has announced the promotions and re-deployment of the following officers with effect from July 1, 2007.

Assistant commissioner, Victor Paledi, has been promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner and takes over as the Director of Traffic Division
Senior Assistant Commissioner, Stephen Tsheko, takes over from Ikwatlhaeng Bagopi (now Deputy Commissioner Support Services), as Director Departmental Management Services but also remains the Performance Improvement Coordinator.

Two Senior Superintendents, Moore Gondo and Katholo Mosimanegape, have been promoted to Assistant Commissioners of Police and have been re-deployed as Deputy Departmental Management Services and Deputy Director Traffic, respectively.

Assistant Commissioner Baile Kefhitilwe moves to South Central Division as Deputy Divisional Commander and Ms Salome Jankie has been re-deployed from the South Central Division to Police Headquarters as Finance Officer.

Senior Superintendent Solomon Mantswe has been transferred from the Public Relations Unit to Police Headquarters as Finance Officer.
