The Global Financial Integrity (GFI) estimates that Africa loses over US$50 billion annually from illicit financial outflows.

Through the Association of Corporate Treasurers of Southern Africa (ACTSA) GFI says “trade-related illicit outflows from Southern Africa amounted to at least US$8.8 billion in 2015 alone.”

One of the country’s biggest commercial bank - First National Bank Botswana, might be closing to hit the P1 billion in pre-tax profits.

The clue comes after the bank announced that its anticipated profit will be higher than the previous year.
