AB opens Pula Lounge for passenger comfort

Air Botswana has inaugurated its first VIP lounge, called Pula, in order to give passengers some of the comforts of their own homes prior to flight. The lounge is located at the new terminal.

“The creation of the new Pula Lounge is part of the Teemane Club project to make our passengers feel more at home throughout their journey, both in the aircraft and on the ground,” said Robert Mpabanga, the Director, Grounds and Customer Services at Air Botswana.

“The lounge is the next step in the evolution of the Teemane club launched last year,” said Mpabanga. The Teemane club is an exclusive programme that offers a range of privileges to frequent flyers.”

The room is decorated with furniture, materials, textures and colours that evoke the comforts of a house. They have used elements, such as sofas and cushions, in a design that is also bold and contemporary.

Pula lounge offers Wi-Fi, snacks, beverages, DSTV. The furnishings enable customers to relax with greater ease and comfort.

Mpabanga said the airline is committed to improving the services for its regulars. Passengers who hold the Gold and Diamond cards have access to the lounge. The Teemane club tier levels include the Blue card, Silver card, Gold card, and Diamond card.

Mpabanga said that, by giving preference to the gold and diamond card holders, they are encouraging blue and silver card holders to fly more.

The Teemane Club has a total of 2 500 registered members.
