Boko’s plan to issue undocumented migrants with permits overlooks grievances raised by Youths

As president Advocate Duma Boko settles into his new post and hits the ground running, he faces a concoction of challenges — some inherited from the previous administration and others created by himself.

As a constitutional and human rights lawyer, Boko has established himself as a leader committed to advancing social justice and advocating for a humanitarian approach to national concerns. With less than a month in office, he has managed to convey to Batswana some of his primary concerns under his new administration, one of which is to issue permits to undocumented migrants, particularly from Zimbabwe, in order to facilitate skills transfer in areas such as plumbing and carpentry.
