The issue of LGBT rights in Botswana has become the latest battleground in the political war between the Republicans and the Democrats ahead of the 2024 General Elections in America.

Joe Biden and his Democrats administration have declared that defending and promoting the rights of LGBT persons is at the core of their commitment to advancing human rights globally.

On the other corner, the two leading Republican Presidential contenders, Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, have aggressively supported measures curtailing transgender rights.
