For the fourth consecutive year, the Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Group has won the coveted “Best Annual Report” Award in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Annual Report Awards, hosted by the Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM).
These awards recognise companies for the publishing of their annual reports, attention being on the information, copy and design of the annual reports.
This year, there were over 28 submissions from companies listed on the domestic board of the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE), Parastatals and Not for Profit Organisations.
When commenting on this accomplishment, Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Thapelo Lippe, said, “We are very excited about this achievement. It reinforces our resolve to ensure that in whatever we do at BTC Group, we put in an extra effort. We are grateful that our efforts for continued excellence have been recognized by our peers. PWC and BOCCIM must also be commended for a fantastic competition which has been running now for 20 years.”
BTC Group walked away with three awards on the night. The Corporation won the first prize in the Parastatal Category, best overall report and was runner-up in the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) category. They also made history by being the first company to win the award for four consecutive years.
