Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC), is contributing to enhancing the human resource capability by sponsoring the best Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) telecommunications engineering student.
BTC Public Relations Manager, Golekanye Molapisi, revealed that the Company, which is the leading telecommunications service provider in Botswana, has a duty and responsibility to enrich the lives of talented young people.
BTC will sponsor the best telecommunications engineering student to the tune of P20, 000. The sponsorship entails a cash prize of P10, 000 and a mobile smart handset bundled with a BTC sim plan, worth P10, 000.
The sponsorship, will be unveiled at BIUST 2nd graduation ceremony this month, were 175 undergraduate and post ÔÇôgraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, as well as Faculty of Sciences, will graduate.
Engineering disciplines in most cases, Molapisi, said are linked with economic development of Nations, hence BTC, found it prudent to sponsor the category as an incentive to students to venture and study technology and science based subjects.
