Constructors fight over P1, 2 billion Ghanzi tender

Citizen ‘empowerment’ is the buzzword as Botswana constructors fight over the Ghanzi Extension’s billion Pula infrastructure development tender which is drawing to a close. 

One of the companies (names withheld) has written to the Accounting Officer in the Ministry of lands and Water raising questions about the true definition of ‘citizen contractor’.

This follows an announcement of adjudication decisions by the Ministry of lands and Water on the tender for the provision of a works contract for the construction of infrastructure services in Ghanzi Extension.
