The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) has expressed concern that following its formation in the early 90’s to address matters pertaining to corruption subsequent to land allocation and public procurement matters it is still grappling with emergent similar issues more than 28 years later.
In a statement, DCEC spokesperson Lentswe Motshoganetsi said this therefore calls for concerted efforts to deal with corruption as a matter of urgency.
“In lieu of the afore-mentioned concerns, the Directorate (DCEC) will host a two-day anti-corruption Pitso on the 10th and 11th May 2023 …in Gaborone,” he said.
