Debswana’s EOI initiative a strategic passage to eventual retrenchments?

Debswana Diamond Company has issued an internal memo inviting employees to express their interest in a Voluntary Separation (VS) as part of its ongoing “One Dream, One Team” (ODOT) 2024 Strategy.

The initiative has sparked speculation about the company’s broader strategic intentions, particularly in light of the challenges that have shaped its current five-year strategy, launched in 2020 and the dwindling diamond sales.
