Disgraced Francistown attorney, Lyndon Tiro Mothusi, is yet again in police custody after he was allegedly found in possession of what is suspected to be habit-forming drugs.
Sir Seretse Khama Airport Police Station Commander, Assistant Superintendent Bannetse Keakile, told The Telegraph on Monday that they arrested Mothusi on Sunday at Block 8 in Gaborone.
He said during his arrest, suspected habit forming drugs were found in his possession.
“The suspected substances have being taken to the police laboratory for further investigation,” he said, adding that they had not yet charged Mothusi because they were still waiting for the results from the police lab.
Once a power player in Botswana’s legal fraternity, Mothusi fell from grace after he was engaged in a marathon case involving fraud and corruption.
He was found guilty and given suspended sentences.
