The festive season is upon us and events are mushrooming all over the place, each one promising much more than the other. For the discerning consumer, this actually turns out to be quite a bonus, because they can get the best products.
Amid a plethora of events in the offing this festive season, one that has especially caught my attention is called; ‘The Situation Right Now.’ This is a theme based event that is meant to elevate people’s experiences in terms of fashion and music. Event organiser DJ Fauz explained that ‘The Situation Right Now’ is all about anything and everything that can entice one’s senses, be it taste, sight or sound. The event will be characterised by high energy lighting and massive sound.
“In the heat of the moment, we expect attendants to post a picture of the situation they are in and share on social media,” said DJ Fauz.
The social media tactic is very commonly used by events’ organisers to push mileage and attract more revellers to their events.
“The motive is to show case urban culture. By using the TSRN hashtag, people can upload pictures and videos of themselves and generally have fun with the concept,” said DJ Fauz.
He added that the event is targeted at people who want something different from what has been done before, adding that the show will offer a unique and worthwhile experience.
“TSRN will start at 8pm until 2am and will be held at President Hotel in Main Mall. Ladies get in for free before 10pm while gents have to part with P50 to get in,” said DJ Fauz.
He further said they chose Presidents Hotel as the venue for the event because it is unique and also has enough space to ensure an exceptional setup. On the decks will be the man himself DJ Fauz, together with DJ Scratch, Strictly House Bound, KY Carter and Unanimous 1. The guests will get to enjoy a wide variety of music including afro beats, dancehall, reggae, house, Hip Hop, RnB and electronic dance music.
“As you see the music will cater for everyone and it includes the latest trends. MC’s for the night will be Yarona FM presenters Lebo and Ross,” explained DJ Fauz.
There will also be a party trick during the night and there will be a prize for the best dressed attendants. Clients can also enjoy free Wi-Fi while the first lucky hundred attendants will get free shots.
