Whiskey and Music lovers who have always fantasised as they sang along to  Kid Rock’s feel good song- All Summer Long- may get to live out their fantasies or at least part of it this weekend.

The Inaugural Jameson Live Secret event organized by Benju will be treating whiskey connoisseurs and revellers to a thrilling serving of Jameson Irish Whisky and spirit cocktails and an assortment of internationally acclaimed entertainers Groove Cartell , DJ Homie, King David, DJ Izzy and DJ Kenzo  and more.

In an interview with Lifestyle, Benju Marketing Executive, Jennifer Gaffney said to a whiskey connoisseur, the name Jameson on a bottle has over the years screamed premium quality. She says no matter where a distiller calls home, their whiskey is only as good as the ingredients that go into the still. “The three key elements of Jameson Irish Whiskey are barley, water, and maize, and with a list that simple there is nowhere to hide. Great whiskey needs ingredients to match, and that starts with even something as basic as water,” she said.

”Benju has for the past 12 years been a specialized liquor distributor in Gaborone, one of the manufacturers we pride ourselves in representing is Penord Ricard. They are the world’s second largest manufacturers and makers of Jameson’s Irish Whiskey and Chivas Regal among others,” said Gaffney. Speaking about the event, Gaffney said it is a very important day in the organization’s calendar as the company will be hosting the very first Jameson Live Secret Event, the first of its kind and something completely new to Batswana. “We have managed to keep the venue secret hence the name of the event. What we can let people in on though is that it will be an action packed night with lots of Jameson and spirit cocktails of the same caliber, strictly no beer” she said. Gaffney said it is an event fashioned solely for those who truly love whiskey.

Driving into the venue will strictly not be allowed. ”Instead we will provide a shuttle service that will pick our guests up from Game City Shopping Mall on producing their tickets. The event is scheduled to start at noon and end at midnight. We therefore urge those going to the event to not be late,” said Gaffney. She further said the shuttle service will commence at noon and run until 3pm. Thereafter it will stop and commence again from the event at 10pm until midnight. “We did this to prevent potential accidents as we know everyone will be indulging in alcoholic beverages. We cannot control people too much but it might be worth something to suggest that people even use cabs to and from Game City so that they are not burdened with any driving at all for the night,” Gaffney said.

“We have two types of tickets, VIP and normal tickets. VIP is inclusive of food and drinks for the duration of the show. There is still a chance to win VIP tickets, the details of the competition are on our Facebook page,” she said. Gaffney said the normal ticket on the other hand is inclusive of a Jameson goodie bag and three drink tokens but the food will be available for sale across the various stalls at the venue. “Once they have exhausted their tokens, those on normal tickets can then purchase spirits, wine and champagne to their satisfaction. We will even have a Stanbic Bank Automated Teller Machine at the venue for convenience,” she said.

She said they pulled all the stops to make sure they give nothing but an event to remember. She emphasized that the dress code to the event is all white so they expect all ticket holders to comply.  The tickets to the Jameson Live Secret Event are available at Liquorama Riverwalk and Kgale, Yarona Fm Studio at Fairgrounds Mall and Benju Office in Commerce Park.
