Health ministry targets back-alley Abortionists as syndicates run riot

As the number of foetuses discovered dumped near toilets or sidewalks grows, the Ministry of Health (MoH) has drawn a line in the sand and is working to put an end to back-alley abortions. This follows the release of a new documentary titled “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights: Africa’s Lifesaving Actions for Adolescents,” which examined the dangers of unsafe, illegal abortions in Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa, as well as the effects of restrictive abortion laws and limited access to reproductive health-care.
