August 13, 2024 will be etched in Botswana’s history as a monumental day of celebration when the nation sacrificed half a day to honour our Olympic heroes as they touched down from the Paris Olympics.

A crowd of at least 30,000 fans filled the National Stadium to celebrate Team Botswana’s remarkable achievement.

The day was particularly significant for Letsile Tebogo, whose 200 meters gold medal was the first ever Olympic gold by a local.
