A two months investigation by the Sunday Standard has revealed how the big boys behind the administration of Botswana biggest medical aid scheme – Botswana Public Officers’ Medical Aid Scheme (BPOMAS) gamed the system by weaving a tangled web of companies. The endgame appears to be the capture of Botswana’s health sector.
An analysis of publicly available transactional data suggests that the beneficial ownership of Health Risk Management Botswana (HRMB) the company that administers BPOMAS may be shrouded behind a complex web of companies and ownerships.
