Khupe leaving Collins New & Co

One of the country’s prominent law firms, Collins Newman & Co has confirmed on Thursday the departure of one of the Partners Laurence Khupe.

Khupe is said to have decided to leave the partnership after 18 years of dedicated service to the Firm.

In a press release, Collins Newman & Co senior partner, Parks Tafa states that Khupe will be leaving the Firm at the end of June 2014 to pursue other personal interests.

“We bid Larry farewell and thank him for his long-standing commitment to the Firm over many years. We wish him every success in his future pursuits,” said Tafa.

Meanwhile, the partners of Collins Newman & Co. have also announced that Neill Armstrong joined the firm as a partner with effect from 1st November last year.

Tafa and another senior partner Rizwan Desai highlighted that Armstrong is one of the leading and highly regarded corporate and commercial lawyers in the Southern African Region. The partners added that Neill Armstrong is a seasoned attorney and he brings with him over 35 years of legal experience mainly in transactional work, taxation and capital markets.

Tafa also noted that Neill Armstrong is also the founder of a law firm, Armstrongs Attorneys, based in Gaborone.
