It was an event not to be missed, arguably one of the hottest parties I have attended this year.
The President Hotel was packed to capacity on Friday night as Gaboronians came out in droves to welcome back recently evicted Big Brother Amplified housemate, Miss P.
Mnet, KBL and President Hotel sponsored event.
The cream de la cream of Gaborone graced the party. Musicians, radio and TV personalities, Deejays, including international model Kaone Kario, not to mention the many beautiful ladies were all there to add to the excitement.
I don’t remember the last time I saw so many ladies at one event. It proved true the quote, “where there is honey, the bees will follow”. The event started just after 7pm but by 3 am there were still men arriving.
While in the Big Brother house, Miss P’s actions came under scrutiny after she allegedly tried to force herself onto a fellow housemate. Though it seems this has not rubbed people in a wrong way, judging from the applauses she got once Deejay Robin announced that she had entered the building.
On the decks, the former Yarona fm dj did not disappoint, not that he ever does, as he started off by taking revellers on a trip down memory lane, dishing out some of the sweetest house tunes from the late nineties, reminding me of the days when Gaborone still had a nightlife, when clubs were open until the morning.
An excited looking Tshepo Maphanyane of Multichoice Botswana said she was very happy with the turnout as it is a clear indication that Batswana are supportive and love the Big brother show.
