His Excellency the President and CommanderÔÇôin-Chief, Mr. F.G. Mogae, has promoted the following senior officers of the Botswana Defence Force with effect from November 1, 2006.
Brigadier Otisitswe Tiroyamodimo has been promoted to major general; Colonel George Modirwa Tlhalerwa has been promoted to Brigadier while Lt colonel William Frank Jansen and Lt colonel Mooketsi Kenny Kethibogile have both been promoted to Colonel.
Major Staley Hunter Tshosane, Major Papadi Monnatlhare, Major Daniel Manyothwane, Major Mbakiso Mukokomani, Major Jacob Mothobi,Major Moses Kagiso Lekoko and Major Edson Mosimanegape Molale have all been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.
Meanwhile the commander of the Botswana Defence Force, Lieutenant General Tebogo Masire, has announced promotions of 41 junior officers and 1476 other ranks. This promotion is with effect from October 1, 2006.
