A 33-year-old man from Botswana was arrested and charged with possession of a large quantity of ecstasy tablets in Bang Kapi district of Bangkok, Thailand yesterday. Acting on a tip-off, Thai officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau arrested Bobby Thato during a raid on his apartment in the Piyanon Place building on Lat Phrao Soi 107.
Officers say they discovered 150 ecstasy tablets in the room. Thato allegedly told the officers he received the pills from an African drug network in Bangkok. He said he sells the pills to people at entertainment venues, police said. The investigation into the drug network will be expanded, police said.
