Newgen Software, a leading global provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions is raring to have the first bite in the Botswana market.
The company has a global footprint of 1000+ installations in over 50 countries with large, mission-critical solutions that have been deployed at the world’s leading banks, insurance firms, BPO’s, healthcare organisations, government, telecom companies and shared service centers.
Newgen has partnered with a local ICT company Uno-Tech in order to service the local market.
“We feel it is the right time for Botswana as the country still lags behind on automation. If they adopt our solutions the country will not go through these steps but take a giant leap,” said Manojit Majumdur the Vice president at Newgen India.
Majumdur boasted of the Newgen’s success in India, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific regions, and cited how their products deliver integrated ECM and BPM capabilities into a comprehensive suit.
ECM is a collection of tools used to capture, manage, store, preserve, and deliver content and documents related to organisational processes.
It is a pragmatic solution to manage the complete content lifecycle. Since databases are mainly for structured data, ECM addresses the need for managing unstructured data including physical documents, e-mail, word processing documents, digital images, PDF files, and other popular formats.
As content continues to grow exponentially, organisations struggle with managing enterprise-wide unstructured information for collaboration between business processes, business functions, and the extended enterprise.
Majumdur said simple and passive management and delivery of content is no longer adequate to meeting the complex content management requirements of today’s business enterprise.
Newgen’s ECM suite is scalable, secure, multi-tiered, platform-independent and built using Java and J2EE technologies. The suite has been critically acclaimed and has also been recognized by industry bodies and analyst organizations. Browse this section to find out more about Newgen’s products and its ECM suite.
Newgen Software’s ECM platform has enabled leading enterprises across the globe to improve process efficiencies, enhance human productivity, and ensure compliance adherence. “Organisations implementing ECM solutions are expanding their focus from compliance to improving productivity,” he said.
“We have done a study which revealed that, Botswana is still stuck in the traditional way of doing things,” said Ajay Arora.
Arora added that ICT solutions that are taken for granted in developed countries in Botswana are alien. Newgen in partnership with Uno technology are set to conduct two pilot projects in January next year. “After fruitfully implementing the three pilot projects we will then approach government to see how best we can work together even on their e-government initiative,” said Arora.
Majumdur confidently said Newgen is up with current technology, “We have partnered with Microsoft, Dell and HP, to ensure our solutions are at par with the trends.”
