Olympia acquires Yokota from Natural Wooden Products

Olympia Capital Corporation (OCC), which holds 100 percent shares in Kalahari Floor Tiles (Botswana), has acquired the brand name and manufacturing plant of Yokota from Natural Wooden Products Limited. The assets were acquired from the liquidators of Plush Products via New York Stock Exchange-listed Olympia Capital Holdings Limited (OCHL).

The strategy is part of Olympia Capital Corporation’s drive to increase its presence in the southern African region, due to the huge market potential. OCC is the Botswana-listed subsidiary of OCHL, while Kalahari Floor Tiles owns Gaborone Enterprises Limited.

The two businesses emerging from the acquisition ÔÇô Yokota SA and Natwood Africa ÔÇô are already in operation and are expected to boost the group’s bottom line in the new financial year.
