The exquisite Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel, which has been under construction for the past 16 months, is set to open this July.
In an interview with The Sunday Standard, the Sales and Marketing Manager, Thabo Mogomotsi, revealed that “the hotel is a welcome development as it will boost business at Phakalane Golf Estate”.
The hotel has come into being following a substantial increase in demand for accommodation, both from the regular conference market and a growing leisure market.
Mogomotsi said the existing 20 self catering units as well as the 80 bed-room hotel will target the business traveler, government and transit business thereby improving business. She added that what will set it apart from the existing hotels is the fact it also targets the leisure market as they have a golf course.
The magnificent hotel will be launched as a 4 star but has been designed to allow for an upgrade to a 5-star.
Mogomotsi noted that the launch of the Hotel will allow the estate to welcome larger conferences.
“While, without doubt, people will benefit from an increase in leisure travelers, they will also find a luxurious venue with plenty of quality choices to savor in a very scenic and secure environment,” she said.
The 80-bedroom hotel boasts of Single Executive and Double Executive rooms, 32 in total, and 32 Single and Double Executive rooms with view, in addition to eight Grand Executive and Grand Executive suites with view and eight Premium Executive and Premium Executive suites also with view.
The hotel will see the tourism sector rising to greater heights with the eye catching International 18-Holes Championship Golf Course, walled secure estate with building and architectural guidelines as that of a golf estate making the destination more attractive and striking.
In addition to this superb area, Mogomotsi revealed that there will be Botswana’s first Waterfront Development, which will encompass residential and industrial area named as Peninsula Phakalane, making it a simply unique destination.
Mogomotsi said by 2016, 40 years from conception, Phakalane will be the first choice for all Foreign Direct Investments & Local Direct Investments.
