Rand Merchant Bank Botswana (RMB) has lauded the upcoming Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) listings conference as a good platform through which it will be able to assist interested companies with information on the benefits of listing on the stock exchange.
In an interview Sunday Standard, RMB Botswana Director- Coverage Boiki Tema said the listing conference will also give interested companies an opportunity to know the processes involved in listing and share experiences with companies that have already listed on the course.
“It is also a good opportunity to have conversations with stakeholders, talk about requirements and skills and form ongoing relationships,” said Tema.
He added that RMB Botswana’s sponsorship of the listings conference is ideally an extension of the merchant bank’s commitment to the development of Botswana’s capital markets.
“We hold a strong view that everyone has to play a role in developing Botswana’s capital markets. There is a strong need for business to develop interest in the affairs and development of the stock exchange,” said Tema.
