Ten years in the music industry and being one of the successful Jazz artists in Botswana, Shanti Lo will launch his second CD, Lerato, and DVD at Thapama Hotel in Francistown on the 2nd of April this year.
The album was produced by the world class veteran guitarist, John Blackie Selolwane, who once played for South African Jazz maestro, Hugh Masekela and Paul Simon.
A press release from his coordinator, Soars Katumbela, says the album showcases Shanti Lo’s usual blend of Tswana folk music and a mixture of Southern African Afro Jazz, spiced with a mix of soft rock.
There is another song A re fofe with well crafted lyrics telling the artist’s journey of experiences of love, disappointments, pain and sharing enlightenment and wisdom.
The album also comprises of other songs such as Be Butle, a track that focuses on issues of seeking parental acceptance.
Other tracks include O ya kae and Ke a mo rata, which are conveying a message about love.
There is also a poem entitled I am that man and in the poem he explains who he is.
The press release further reveals that Shanti Lo is still under the management of Streethorn Promotions.
The Francistown launch will comprise of various DJ’s like DJ Rambo who will play classics and DJ SK from Duma FM who will also play during the launch.
Shanti Lo initially launched the album at the Sir Seretse Khama Barracks Auditorium in Gaborone early this month.
