Stanbic Bank appoints Hrusa as Maun Branch Manager

Stanbic Bank Botswana has named Jane Hrusa as the new Branch Manager in Maun. Hrusa joined Stanbic Bank in 2004 and was appointed branch manager in May 2011.

As Branch Manager, Hrusa’s responsibilities will be the day to day operations of the branch, including providing quality customer service, business development and implementing promotional activities and programmes.

Lerato Chana Sekgororoane, Head of Personal Banking, said: “This appointment is yet another example of Stanbic Bank Botswana’s commitment to developing and growing its local talent. The Branch Manager position is a critical function and is key to the long term growth strategy of the bank. Jane brings a wealth of experience to this important position and we are confident that she will make a significant impact in this area.”

Hrusa’s appointment comes after a successful career in the financial services. She has worked in the financial industry for most of her life, except for a brief departure when she moved into the sales arena with Siemens Botswana for 3 years. Based in Head Office she was responsible for the implementation of many systems and processes that are used today and this has given her an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the bank.

As a new Branch Manager, Jane will be tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that all customers receive a consistently high quality service by effectively managing and developing staff, systems and processes and also ensuring that a strong customer-focused service culture becomes entrenched in the branch. She will also ensure that customers are migrated to more appropriate channels and proactively identify and assess the risks faced by the branch as well as maintaining a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

“I am honoured by this appointment. I am also looking forward to the challenges it will throw my way. With the support of the great team at Stanbic Bank I am sure I will be able to improve on what we have already achieved in order to take this branch to greater heights,” Hrusa said.

The Maun Branch was officially opened on the 27th November 2003. The branch currently employs 11 staff members and it offers Personal and Business Banking products, including Foreign Exchange, Home Loans, Vehicle and Asset Finance and others, and also assists our Corporate and Private Banking clients.
