Survey suggests BDP lost elections long before they were be held

A new survey conducted by Afrobarometer in July suggests that the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) had already lost significant public support ahead of the October 2024 general elections even before its controversial primary elections.

The survey finding also tally with the low number polled by the opposition Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) to win the elections. With a 37% majority, the UDC government is the most unpopular government in the history of Botswana.
