Table-talk politics take center stage as the voter goes missing

Our politics have become a train wreck.

We are headed for elections in the next few months.

Yet all round our politicians are refusing to display even basic honesty.

Politicians have elected to leave out the voter in all political conversations. And no political party is making even a minimal effort to talk about those issues that concern the voter, or at the very least, get to understand the voter’s aspirations, fears and hopes.

All political parties are wholly consumed by table talk politics with the intention of manipulatively stitching together their candidate lists.

Close scrutiny of what really is happening inside many of the political parties at the moment reveals an elaborate exercise that could turn the voter off not least because it is the voter who is losing out.
