THE RAPING OF OUR COUNTRY BY COLD-BLOODED GOBBLERS MUST STOP NOW!

This piece is a product of a very angry mind; angry at the abuse directed to the citizens of a nation that I proudly associate wth; angry at a leadership that consistently strip our constitution off its sanctity and purity to satisfy their evil egos; angry at a leadership that is pre-occupied with rationing out blankets and radio sets to poverty ravaged households instead of introducing quality development programs that have the potential to eliminate the poverty of our people; angry and pained by the silence of citizens of this country, more especially the wretched of the earth who have been reduced to idiotic apes by their own government yet seemingly content with their filth.

As a result of my anger and frustration, there is a high possibility that this essay could be loaded with profanity and swearing precisely as a response to my pain. However, I have not the slightest intention to offend anyone, but if some people are offended, especially those who have been reduced to screwball ranting idiots, so be it. Traditionally, Christmas holidays have always evoked memories of thanks giving. It was a time to remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and Christmas messages were messages of peace and brotherhood.

How things have changed! Christmas of today is no longer a time to enjoy traditional dishes with parents and relatives served with traditional choral music. This due partly because people have been impoverished by their own government so much that Christmas goodies are a damn luxury and partly because of doubts and fears that accompany our dull lives. Today Christmas is a time to take a break from our exploitative routine work and get down to serious business of introspection of our role in our own suffering. It is a time to pinch ourselves for behaving like dogs that can feed on their vomit and their master’s excrement and still pretend to enjoy life. This essay intends to call on everyone of us to take a hard look at themselves and categorize themselves appropriately as feeble-minded-happy-to-be screwed eloquent spectators, beer-bellied-half-entrepreneurs, half-robbers ready to run down the country in partnership with the despots or dutiful patriots willing and ready to defend the country from crazed aristocrats. Your belonging to one of these categories logically explains your role in the current state of affairs.

The intention is not to get you pissed off or cause you to yell at the column like a captured ape but rather to compel you to have a moment with yourself and undertake a thorough honest examination of how bad the situation is in Botswana owing to the evil acts of this tyrannical regime. I want you to look back at the news that dominated the private media this year and years gone by; the ghostly revelations and scandals perpetrated by members of the executive and their hard-nosed-brain damaged lackeys always too ready to bend over. What have you done to stop the rot? Additionally, the essay intends to whack your ears and irritate your nostrils so that you can smell the coffee and viciously box your head to cause your feeble brains to get hyperactive and start questioning the absurdity of our leadership.

It amazes me that many, many citizens are alarmed at the rate at which our republic is regressing on all fronts, yet everyone pretends to be having the best of their lives. They pretend to live happy lives yet secretly crawl before President Khama for their basic needs. Such people should never have been born and should never be given a second life. The time has come to get firm and pronounce loudly that enough is enough with the raping of our country. We must take a pledge to bring the government and its moneyed supporters to their senses before Botswana reaches a desperate state. To start with, all of us must consider ourselves as bonafide citizens of this country who have every right to a share of the national cake; a piece of land; a shallow well or borehole and to have same ambitions as do royals.

We must put aside our political affiliations and be morally obliged to defend our country from being run down by decrepit skunks. I know that there are plentiful Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) members who are authentically patriotic, level-headed and willing to put a stop to this nonsense and it is a logical choice. I know many people are very angry at what has become of Botswana but they need to be angrier than they have ever been in order that they can curse, swear, yell and throw things at the enemy in protest. Citizens of this country do not own the land they live on since it is in the hands of psychic aristocrats whose greed is beyond description. We must compute the sizes of land owned by these cartels and share the information with landless people especially the youth to create awareness of the land problem in Botswana and the dire need for a land audit.

We must collect statistics and make people aware of the frightening income inequalities and the conspiracy between the political leadership and international crime syndicates. Such a move will generate a great deal of enthusiasm and hope for change. We must get hard facts to feed to the youths to make them appreciate that they have no future under the current regime. We must let the youths know that our constitution accords the state president the liberty to do as they wish hence Botswana has become a perfect example of a fascist state. We must refuse to allow the few rich bandits to brutally rape our country whilst we watch from exaggerated comfort. We must refuse to let these rich demons bankrupt and drive the ordinary person into absolute poverty thus making us continue to worship them and become what the Bible says are ‘men who eat their own dung, and drink their own piss’ (2 King, 18:27). We need to fight them using non-violent methods so that we do not give them the opportunity to eliminate us. Batswana must be inspired by the principles of passive resistance and martyrdom and stand up to fight for what belong to them or get used to be mercilessly screwed by these evil political merchants who pretend to be motivated by the service of GOD and if people choose to live with being screwed for years on end, may they burn in hell. So let this Christmas holiday and beyond be for us a time to show grief for our troubles by holding candlelight vigils before our Christmas festivities or parties in their varied forms. Let us make it a habit to observe a moment of silence to mourn our ‘deceased nation’.

All of us must dutifully but respectfully protest against the desecration of our democracy and create awareness as well as motivate change all the time, every time. All patriotic citizens across the political divide including those under the influence of these human ticks must invent lawful, non-violent acts of symbolic importance to social emancipation from hostile rhetoric to uncultured behaviours such as booing and jeering these self-styled popular perverts to convey our distress occasioned by a torturous regime. ‘The time comes in the life of any nation when there remain only two choices ÔÇô submit or fight’, (Umkhonto we Sizwe manifesto, 1961). That time has come to Botswana and we refuse to submit. The Badge of Courage wishes you success and happiness this Christmas and in 2014. God bless Botswana!
