Popular South African stand-up comedian Trevor Noah will return to Botswana on November 29 for yet another rib cracking show.
This time around he will be accompanied by Eugene Khoza, another talented South African comedian.?The duo will perform at the newly built Centre Arena at Molapo Crossing, Gaborone, with a large turnout all but assured.
One of the organizers of the event, Leatile Bontlenyane of Blu Muffin Entertainment, said they have decided to bring the two masters of comedy as they have made their mark in the comedy scene not only in SA but in other parts of the world.?“They are some of the best we have ever had in Africa and what better way than to bring both of them to Botswana. They have never performed together outside SA so this is a perfect time to experience this double fun,” he said.?Bontlenyane said that the other reason they decided to bring the two comedians is because all year the company has been having shows that featured artists and catered for a certain type of group but this time they have decided to cater for comedy lovers. ?
“Last year when Noah came here, the response we got after the show was very positive and many people wanted him back so this is the perfect time to have him back and this time we want to make it even bigger as it will feature Khoza as well,” he said.?Noah’s career has seen him make an international breakthrough. He had his US television debut on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last year.┬á He has toured America with his one-man show ‘That’s Racist’ which made him a household name. ?Bontlenyane said although it will be Eugene Khoza’s first time in Botswana, the talented comedian is thrilled at the idea of coming to showcase his skills to Batswana. Khoza is a well respected comedian and television presenter in South Africa.┬á ?
Khoza has been described as a new age comedian who breaks down boundaries, builds bridges, challenges prejudices and invents stereotypes. His performances are replete with vernacular references, vivid characterizations coupled with witty dialogue leaving crowds whooping for more and rolling in the aisles.?The two have worked and hosted television programs together like e.tv reality competition The AXE Sweet Life in 2009.
