In an effort to enhance its services to customers, a citizen-owned company, TRL Travel Agency, on Friday launched TRL Amex in Francistown, a joint organization between TRL Travel and the international travel organization, American Express.
Speaking to the Telegraph, the TRL Travel Public Relations Manager, Lini Matenge, revealed that TRL Travel came into partnership with American Express in 1999 as a way of reaching out to clients abroad and to expand.
“TRL Amex is a travel agency which prides itself in providing an all inclusive travel management solution. Through this partnership we hope to achieve great integrity, trust, business ethics and humility. We shall strive to be the best travel agency that anticipates and acts upon the ever evolving needs of our clients,” he said.
He said that having partnered with American Express, which has 2200 offices in 140 countries around the world, it makes TRL Amex to be one of the best travel service providers in the world. He added that their offices are found in countries abroad such as Australia, India, South Africa, United Kingdom and most countries in Europe. He pointed out that their global benefit programmes offer travellers six core services free of charge, which are: the re-confirmation of air tickets, assisting with routing, hotel reservations, car rental services, assistance with revalidating or changing of reservations and even sightseeing arrangements.
“We have also linked with major airlines around the world and a number of other organizations, such as Avis, Budget, Euro Car and Travel Insurance,” he said.
Matenge continued to say that for hotel accommodation, they have engaged famous international hotels, such as Legacy Hotels, Southern Sun, Sun International, Marriot, World Hotel, Hilton, Carlson, Peermont, Orient Express and Peermont Hotel.
Matenge concluded by saying that through such a partnership they can help to boost tourism into the country as Botswana will feature in every American Express office around the world.
TRL Travel has its offices in Gaborone and in Francistown. It is a citizen company which is owned by the Khupe Group of Companies.
