Will Botswana boxers make the cut at Bangkok qualifiers? 

In just seventeen (17) days, the world’s finest amateur boxers will gather in Bangkok, Thailand in an attempt to punch their ticket to Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

For Botswana, the qualifiers will be very crucial. The country is yet to have a boxer qualify for Paris 2024. The tournament will therefore be a very last attempt to have a representative at this year’s Olympics. 

Qualifying for this year’s Olympics has been an agonising odyssey for local boxers. Plagued by financial struggles, Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) has found itself on the backfoot and changing plans time and again to compensate.
