Zeus Deuce Wa Mrapper Drops his latest album

Channel O music award winning wordsmith, Game Zeus Bantsi has done it again. For him there seems to be no turning back now. Having struck a major distribution deal with Universal music group in South Africa, he is growing his music business brand in leaps and bounds.

With his latest album dubbed, “its African time”, Zeus intends to penetrate the African market. It will officially hit the shelves across the African continent on December 6.

He says he has realised that his music is not only appealing to Batswana but Africans at large. “My stay in the big brother house really boosted my image as a lyricist across the continent because many people have become familiar with me,” he says.

Having recently relocated to Johannesburg South Africa, things seem to be looking up for our golden boy. “My latest collaboration with South African hip-hop heavy weights such as Khuli Chana, AKA and Tumi and the volume have given me leverage amongst the South African music fraternity,” he says. “Now that I have been accepted in the South African music industry with wide open arms, I think it’s high time I conquer the rest of Africa, whilst I’m still young.” He is quite optimistic that his latest offering will be a hit, because already his single ‘Das Was up’ has been nominated for a channel o music award.

Moving on to why he is not grooming and mentoring young talent in Botswana, he says he is still trying to get his deals right before he can start a project with any one else. “I want to get the same deal drake got with aftermath and interscope, where he can bring in any artist to universal under his conditions, not theirs,” he adds.

Recently his company DIY entertainment has appointed Thabiso ‘Black’ Mashaba as the new Chief Executive Officer, who will be reporting directly to him. “ Thabiso is my latest prot├®g├®, and I think what’s exciting about him is that he brings in a lot of expertise in terms of event coordination, especially when it comes to working with NGO’s,”he says. Mashaba was roped in after Tshepho ‘Rox’ Sikwane recently resigned and followed his religious calling to go and study theology in Zimbabwe. Rox is the younger brother Thato ‘Dj Fresh’ Sikwane.

Lately Zeus has been listening to artists like hit boy and wale, of which he thinks, have a mature approach towards their music compared to other artists. He says he will be missing the channel o awards night since he will be performing in Botswana during that time.
