A web of greed, lies and betrayal unravelling Botswana Golden Grand Prix

When Glody Dube started the Botswana Golden Grand Prix eleven years ago, he never thought he will one day be fighting against powerful sports elites for its ownership.

For Dube, building the event from its humble beginnings as Sports View International to a World Athletics gold status event it is now was a labour of love. Toiling, most often without any help, he had to make some huge sacrifices.

Now all his hard work and sacrifices are about to be undone. A web of lies, greed and betrayal now threaten to unravel his project. Dube’s troubles began when his event was accorded a gold status by World Athletics (WA), which transformed it to an international event.
