ABM institution is on a mission to expand its courses, from business and engineering courses to more advanced business courses, such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
Speaking to Sunday Standard on Friday during the BOCCIM Northern Trade Fair, the Marketing Officer of the Institution, Chawada Josiah highlighted that they were currently waiting for the Tertiary Education Council(TEC) to register them with the courses examining bodies.
The institution, which has two institutions in Gaborone and Francistown, currently has 2200 students at both the Gaborone Campus and the Francistown Campus.
Josiah further mentioned that their institution offered quality courses as they were affiliated to external examining bodies, such as the External Business Executives, which is an international examining body.
According to Josiah, the courses that will be included are Association of Accounting Technicians, the Chartered of Institute of Purchasing and Supply and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
She further revealed to Sunday Standard that they were currently on another initiative of establishing a Vocational Training Centre in Masunga.
“We have got a plot in Masunga already for this institution to be established,” she said.
Josiah pointed out that ABM decided to build the Vocational Training Centre in order to cater for the North East region as most of the vocational centers were in the South.
ABM College was developed in 1989, making it one of the oldest Institutions in Botswana and currently has private as well as government sponsored students.
