AG’s Chambers fails Law 101, Judge offers free refresher

Botswana’s top legal office – the Attorney Generals Chambers – which is responsible for drafting and upholding the law, has been criticised by the Court of Appeal for what the judge described as “ignorance of the law”, and tax payers may pay the price.

The Attorney General’s Chambers which is also entrusted with defending the public interest was censored for its clumsy handling of the high stakes P1.5 billion water infrastructure tender legal appeal.
