Representing in a true Patriotic Botswana national flag style, rocking the blue, black and white, popular local clothing line, All Kasi, has recently held a media launch for their brand new limited edition 2013 denim range, which was officially launched at Capello Restaurant in Masa Centre, located in the rapidly growing Central Business District.
┬áLike in any Haute Couture run way, the All Kasi models donned the denim threads in mixed, casual, funky and slightly afro centric style. These denim masterpieces were coupled with white T-Shirt and sweaters also branded with the All Kasi label. The clothes were modeled relevantly to the old school beat of the popular track, titled ‘The All Kasi Anthem, a track released a few years ago by a number of hip hop artists.┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á┬á ┬á
The Brand Ambassador for All Kasi, Radio Personality and award-winning Hip Hop Artist, Thato ‘Scar’ Matlhabaphiri, directing the show and was also wearing the men’s Capris (knees high shorts) and the long sleeved shorts.
┬áThe lovely, leggy lady models also showcased an assorted selection of shorts and lady’s Capris and denim jackets, coupled with white All Kasi t-shirts.
The handsome hunky male models were literally dripping swagger all over the runway as they too showcased the male selection of the All Kasi denim range.
All Kasi took the country by storm by being the first local clothing label to dress the national team, the Zebras. This line will be carried by all their registered distributors across the country.
“We only allow our registered distributors to carry our clothes to avoid piracy of our label,” explained Bani Maplanka, the Marketing Manager.
In a telephone interview, Maplanka further explained that the public has so far responded to the new range, which is comprised of four women pieces and 4 men’s pieces.
According to Maplanka, only 300 of each piece had been produced and thus encouraged Batswana to go and get them for themselves before they run out.
Though they currently have a factory located in Ramotswa, Maplanka explained that they intend to have their own shop in Gaborone to sell their merchandise before the end of this year.
For now, customers can go to registered distributors, Laroche, in Main Mall, BBS and Rail Park malls, Yuppie also in BBS, Escape in Game City and Options in Gaborone.
