The tale of the historical trail of the Kgari people does not begin before they tell you about two of their ancestors, Kgosi Macheng-a-Kgari-a-Kgama I and Kgosi Kgari-a-Macheng-a-Kgari-a-Kgama I whose remains are respectively buried at Ranaka in the Ngwaketse region and at Matopos in Zimbabwe. This information, revealed to the author of this write-up during the preparation period for the official welcoming of Kgosi Kgomotso Kgari Macheng last week Friday, 25 August 2023, predicates the long-winding story of this branch of BaPhuting who live in Tonota.

For the UCCSA which apparently happens to be the Kgarian choice of church it appears as hymn number 225. It is hymn number 34 in Keresete mo Kopelong, the SDA hymn book; and I hear it also features as hymn number 433 for the Baptist Church. This is to mention just three.
