BancABC opens Game City branch

BancABC has opened yet another retail branch in Game City Mall, Gaborone, and is scheduled to roll out one more branch in Palapye within the three months of entering the retail banking market.

BancABC Marketing Manager, Sebaga Manyeula, said just like the other retail outlets that have already been established, Game City branch is well positioned within the shopping centre for purposes of accessibility and convenience to the customers.

“This is in recognition that our footprint is critical in the retail expansion that we have embarked on; we currently have four branches and expect to roll out two more branches in the future,” Manyeula explained.

According to Manyeula, BancABC is entering the retail market with fully-fledged products, offering both personal and business banking services. She stated that this includes savings, transaction, investment and lending for both categories.

She also said that the bank continues to target customers that are passionate about receiving exceptional financial solutions and service.

“A more customer centric approach to product development also allows us to be a financial service provider to a wide range of customers,” said Manyeula.
“Game city branch opening is a step in the right direction in our efforts to become a critical player in the retail sphere,” she said.

She stated that although the bank might be a new bank in the retail space, they have over 10 years solid reputation in the market as a merchant bank and therefore confident that they have the right products and services, banking expertise that are required by both their potential and existing clients to make the retail expansion a success.

Manyeula said the bank continues to grow as  more retail branches are being rolled out and with a promise of fresh thinking and smart banking , and added that BancABC  believes it has what it takes to separate it from their banking competitors.

BancABC Chief Executive Officer Jitto Kurian had earlier revealed that the bank will soon open another branch at the new upcoming airport junction mall and another one outside Gaborone, which he said will not be in an urban area.

Kurian said the game city branch is the fourth branch to be opened locally after the Fairgrounds Branch, The Square Mart and Francistown branches.

“The bank’s focus has been on providing products and services that meet the client needs,” said Kurian.
