Bantwni lives up to expectation

South African music sensation, Zakes Bantwini, recently came to Botswana to apologize for failing to attend and perform at the Miss Botswana pageant. At the time, he promised to make it up to his fans.

He did not disappoint. He was in Botswana to perform at the Independence bash on Thursday, and treated revelers to his best ever show so far.

The event was a collaborative effort between Sixty-3 Entertainment and South African Tourism.
Local music heavyweights Vee, ATI, Scar, Zeus and Jujuboy also proved their mettle against the South African music heavyweight. DJ’s Otis Fraser, O’Neal and Black Coffee manned the turntables and kept revelers dancing until the wee hours of the morning.

The show kicked off to a slow start at 7 pm, but became livelier as time passed as more people started coming in.

Bantsini took to the stage after performances by local rappers Zeus and Scar. Backed by a very good live band, Bantwini belted out hit after hit, including his popular hits, Shake Your Bum Bum and Clap Your Hands.
