Basarwa in fresh forced relocation

Information passed to this publication suggests that Basarwa and the government are bracing for another legal dispute.

Basarwa from the diamond village of Letlhakane are expected to engage lawyers to challenge the legality of their ongoing forced relocation by Letlhakane Sub-Land Board. 

Basarwa allegedly occupied the contentious area to pave way for the diamond mines in the area. 

Botswana Khweedom Council (BKC) an organisation that represents the interest of Basarwa is up in arms against Letlhakane Sub Land Board for seizing residential plots from Basarwa of Metsiaela ward in Letlhakane village leaving them homeless.
