BBS Bank Limited, Botswana’s first indigenous commercial bank, has forecast a dramatic turnaround in its financial performance, projecting a profit before tax of between 60 million and 72 million pula ($4.8 million to $5.8 million) for the year ended December 31, 2024. The figures mark a staggering 213 percent to 256 percent increase compared to the 28 million pula loss reported for the same period in 2023, according to a trading statement released on March 4.
