BERA fuels inflation

The Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority (BERA), has once again raised fuel prices twice in a space of a month, another move that will certainly push up consumer prices after a brief retreat.

The state regulator on Tuesday announced upward adjustments for petrol, diesel and paraffin, forced by the global increase in average Brent crude oil price which increased by 8.8 percent from $85.10 in August to $92.59 per barrel in September.
