Boko shoots down allegations of borrowing money from Khama allies

The Leader of Botswana National Front, Duma Boko, has dismissed allegations that he has been loaned P150 000 by business people, Guma Moyo and Thapelo Olopeng.

In a short interview, Boko said he was aware of the allegations, but said he has not had any dealings with the two men, who are said to be involved in businesses with close ties to President Ian Khama.

Boko said he suspected the allegations are being peddled by political opponents of both the BNF and the UDC (Umbrella for Democratic Change) both of which he leads.

“I have never borrowed any money from those people,” he said.
