The Vice President responsible for Academic Management at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Raphael Dingalo has been appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education.
Dr. Dingalo had joined Limkokwing from the Office of the President where he had worked as a director responsible for research in the Government Communications Unit.
Before that he had worked at the University of Botswana.
A staunch member of the Botswana Democratic Party, Dingalo is a regular in the newspaper opinion pages, known for his defence of the BDP, its polices and the leader.
Ahead of the recent General Elections when the BDP was struggling against a buoyant opposition, Dingalo came out to forcefully write a number of articles rallying the BDP members to stay calm and also loyal to their party as he predicted easy victory for the BDP.
As it was to be the party emerged victorious but not before losing an unprecedented high number of seats to the opposition Umbrella for Democratic Change.
Another BDP stalwart, Bernard Bolele has been appointed to chair the Botswana International University of Science and Technology.
Before the General Elections, Bolele was Member of Parliament for Mahalapye West.
He lost the primaries under dubious circumstances.
The Telegraph has also learnt that before he was appointed Chairman of BUIST, Bolele had been offered a diplomatic post in Washington.
He declined the offer, citing his business commitment at home.
