Botswana, South Africa and Namibia OK Zim polls?

The Zimbabwean government has launched a campaign to use President Mokgweetsi Masisi, former Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Secretary Gabriel Seeletso and Southern African Development Community Executive Secretary Elias Magosi to validate the country’s disputed elections.

The state-run daily newspaper, The Herald, published an article on August 30 titled “SA, Botswana, Namibia give Zim polls thumbs up.”

The article alleges that Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa all rejected a preliminary report made by the SADC Electoral Observer Mission, which was led by “disgraced former Zambian Vice President Dr Nevers Mumba.”
