BTC delivers stronger half-year profit rebound

Botswana Telecommunications Corporation has delivered a cleaner, more confident set of interim numbers, positioning the operator as one of the few state-linked entities showing measurable earnings traction in a strained economy. Revenue for the six months to September rose to P796 million, a 10.3 percent uplift driven largely by data consumption, mobile money activity and the completion of a key digital project. The growth signals that BTC’s long-promised shift toward digital services is finally translating into top-line stability.
