The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) has popped out about P100 000 to send about twenty fans to support the Zebras at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The fans, however, had to contribute about P3000 each, with the BTO contributing about P11 000 for each supporter for air ticket and accommodation.
Speaking to TelegraphSports, the Public Relations Officer of BTO, Keitumetse Setlang, said, “BTO had come up with about P100 000 to send about twenty fans to Gabon to support the Zebras,” adding that the BTO was grateful about the selection of the fans.
Setlang added that her organasation wanted all the Zebras supporters’ branches country wide to take part in the selections of fans that were sponsored.
“Although we were beaten by a wide margin, the BTO sees it important that Batswana rally behind their national team,” she said.
