Butler ditches GU for Bangladesh

Coach Peter James Butler has left his job as the Director of Sport at Gaborone United (GU) to take a new post as an academy coach at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).

The former Botswana men senior national team coach departs from GU barely a year after taking a job there as the Director of Sport. In his parting remarks, Butler says he will always cherish the love and support from Batswana. “I thank the GU family, they were very supportive. I wish to thank the public of Botswana as they were wonderful to me. Botswana football will always be in my heart. I love the country and the people are amazing,” he says.
